Today we introduce you to Andy Dalkin. Andy’s journey has always been defined by a commitment to listening, understanding, and serving. Born and raised in Glencoe, Andy’s early involvement in the Lakeside Congregation and as a Life Scout underscored the values of community and teamwork. A two-time varsity letterman and co-captain of the 1983 IHSA Boys’ State Champions fencing team at New Trier High School, Andy went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in political science from Purdue University and a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law.
His two-decade tenure as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Cook County included over 50 murder trials, highlighting his dedication to justice. As a criminal defense attorney and family law practitioner, Andy deepened his understanding of the legal system. His role at the Civilian Office of Police Accountability and his current work with the Policemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association Labor Committee further emphasize his commitment to public service
